Media Monitors Appoints New Chief Executive for Asia

Singapore, 28 April 2011Media Monitors Group proudly announced the appointment of Tay Tuan Kiat (pic) as the Chief Executive of Asia, effective 27 April 2011. Announcement was made by the Group CEO, John Croll, late Wednesday afternoon from its corporate office in Sydney.

In this role, Tay is responsible for managing and developing Media Monitors’ business and operations in the Asian region based out of Beijing. Some of the brand portfolio under the Media Monitors’ umbrella include Asia Media Monitors, Media Monitors SinoFile, CARMA Asia Pacific and social media solutions partner, Brandtology.

Prior to the appointment, Tay was the General Manager of Greater China at Media Monitors SinoFile, China. During this period, he played a key role in driving sustained growth of Media Monitors SinoFile which saw a strategic and integrated media management in Greater China.

Professional Biography

Tay has over 20 years of experience in the media and business intelligence industry across many Asian markets, in particular, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Shanghai. Before joining Media Monitors, he was the General Manager of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan at Reed Elsevier’s LexisNexis, based in Hong Kong. He has also helmed leadership roles at Reuters Plc and two start-ups invested by 3i Asia Pacific Technology Fund.

Tay is an economics and political science graduate from the National University of Singapore.
